Recipe(tried): Schmitty, last night we had............

Menus

We had a pork roast cooked in the crock pot. I strained the liquid into a saucepan and thickened with 2-1/2 tbl cornstach dissolved in 1/4 cup water. Served this over rice. It is a very rich and tasty dish.

Teriyaki Pork Roast

1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c packed brown sugar
2 TBSP fresh ginger, chopped finely
2 garlic cloves, whole peeled
1 12 oz. can apple juice concentrate
1 tsp ground white pepper

Mix ingredients well. Pour half into crock pot.
Put 3-4 lb. pork roast on top of liquid. Pour
rest of liquid over roast. Cook on low 6-8
hours

When it's finished, you can strain the liquid to
make a sauce/gravy for the roast. I serve the
roast and sauce/gravy with rice.

I forgot! I also added 3 stalks of lemon grass, minced.
