Hello there Dar,
Here is a great spaghetti sauce that everyone will love. It's delicious and sooo easy to make.
I created this back in the 80's and my family never stops asking for it. Kids adore it. Enjoy.
Semi-homemade Spaghetti Sauce
1 1/2 lbs of leanest ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
5 large cloves finely chopped garlic
1 tblsp Italian seasoning
2 (16oz) jars of Ragu "roasted garlic" spaghetti sauce
1 (16oz) can of tomato sauce
3 tblsp brown sugar (packed)
1 pkg angel hair spaghetti
In the bottom of a 5 qt sauce pan, add just enough olive oil to saute the onions and garlic
until they are clear, not browned.
Add the ground beef and sprinkle the Italian seasoning on top and work it into the raw meat with the back of your spoon. Cook over medium heat only until meat is about 3/4 cooked (if you cook it longer it tends to remove too much moisture and get hard).
Add the Ragu sauce, tomato sauce, and brown sugar.
Bring to a boil, immediately lower heat to where the sauce is just slowly simmering. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring often.
Serve over cooked angel hair spaghetti.
Optional:When sauce is done, add black olives or mushrooms.
