Recipe(tried): Shortbread Xmas Cut-outs

Breads - Assorted

Shortbread Cutouts

1 c. flour
2 1/2 T. cornstarch
Pinch salt
1 stick unsalted butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp.vanilla
1/2 c. very fine chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Sift together dry ingredients.
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla together.
Add flour and ground almonds.
Shape into a disc and refrigerate 20 minutes.
Roll 1/3 inch thick between 2 sheets of waxed paper.
Cut with 2 1/2 inch cookie cutters.
Bake 20 minutes or until they just start to change color.
Cool on wire rack.
Frost if desired and store in an airtight container,

I always triple this recipe. They melt in your mouth!
