Recipe(tried): Smoked Turkey and Pasta Salad - a little help on the wedding
Holidays, CelebrationsCrystal,
We have a lot of parties, my husband is in the media and I have my own business. Smoked turkey and pasta salad is always a big hit:
Smoke turkeys, then tear the meat off the turkey and pile on a huge tray. Serve with yeast rolls (either homemade or buy at Sam' Clubs) and different condiments, mayo, honey mustard, etc.
This is very good with a pasta salad made of colored pasta (Sam's club). Cook pasta according to directions and drain, rinse in cold water and drain again. Add chopped purple onion, chopped celery, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sweet basil, and Italian seasoning, then pour on large bottle of creamy Italian dressing. Mix all well and put in fridge. Put in large punch bowl to serve. Top off with Roma, or cherry tomatoes sliced and cheeses....good and very cheap. The salad can be made a day ahead and topped just before serving.
We also make cheese balls, dips, crackers and chips. You can also take cream cheese and top it with Pepper pecan Jelly (bought). This is also a hit.
Hope these help you. Debbe from Memphis
