Recipe(tried): Smooth Icing

Misc.

I use the royal icing---6 tbsp. water, 3 tbsp meringue powder, (beat until
frothy) add 4 cups confectioners sugar and beat 7 or 8 minutes. If too thick
add more water and continue beating. I have found with this icing if I wet my
spatula slightly, it smooths the icing out. I"m not sure this is the type
icing you were talking about, if it is the buttercream, it can be smoothed out
by warming your spatula.
