SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

1 cup unsalted butter
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup commercial sour cream

Have all ingredients at room temperature.

Cream butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.

Combine flour, soda and salt.

Add dry ingredients and sour cream, alternately, to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Spoon batter into a greased and floured large tube pan (10 inch)
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until test done.

Note..I do not add flavoring to my cake because we like it "plain"..
If you want to add flavoring add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon almond.
OR if you like Lemon omit the almond and add 1 teaspoon lemon.

Another note..I use White Lily Flour..I know alot of you cannot get this in your area so just an all purpose flour will do fine.
