Recipe: Southern Pecan Pie and Brown Sugar Pecan Pie - Pecan Pie without corn syrup

Southern Pecan Pie

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
pinch of salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. cream or canned milk
1 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. oleo, melted
vanilla to taste

Mix sugar, flour, salt; add eggs, cream and oleo and beat well by hand. Add vanilla and fold in pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

Brown Sugar Pecan Pie

2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. flour
1 c. pecan halves
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar and flour; beat well. Add butter and mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pie shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Add a little whipping cream before you serve; a great way to top it off.
