Recipe: Chocolate-Nut Crust (using chocolate wafer crumbs)

CHOCOLATE-NUT CRUST

1 1/2 cups fine chocolate wafer crumbs (about 36 cookies)
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup minced walnut or pecans
1/4 cup sugar
5 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together all ingredients until well combined. Turn mixture into prepared pan; use the back of a large spoon to press firmly and evenly over bottom and up sides of pan.

Bake 10 minutes; cool to room temperature.

Makes 1 (9-inch) piecrust
