Recipe(tried): Spanish Noodles

SPANISH NOODLES

2 cups noodles, uncooked
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 T. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1/8 tsp. black pepper
3 cups tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced

Mix 1 1/2 tsps. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, with the ground beef. Melt 2 T. butter in a heavy skillet. Add ground beef and cook until nicely browned. Add 3 cups tomatoes, 1/4 cup bell pepper, 1 1/2 tsps. sugar, 2 cups noodles, 1 clove minced garlic, and cook over high heat until it is boiling. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and continue to cook for 45 minutes, or until noodles are done. Serve with homemade bread and green salad. Delicious!
