Recipe: Spicy Crab Dip with Almonds (using imitation crab or Krab)

Spicy Crab Dip with Almonds
rec.food.cooking/Blue Eyes (1996)
Makes 3 cups

2 packages (8 oz. each) light cream cheese, softened
1 package (8 oz.) imitation crab meat, flaked
2 Tablespoons minced green onion
1 Tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 Tablespoon Frank's Original RedHot Cayenne Pepper Sauce
1 Teaspoon French's Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Paprika
Crackers
Vegetable Dippers

Preheat oven to 375F. Beat or process cream cheese in electric mixer or food processor until smooth and creamy. Add crab, onion, horseradish, RedHot sauce and Worcestershire Sauce; beat or process until well blended.

Spread cream cheese mixture onto 9-inch pie plate. Top with almonds and sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 minutes or until mixture is heated through and almonds are golden.

Serve with crackers or vegetable dippers.
