Recipe: Spicy Wine Pot Roast (not from Great American Recipe Cards)
Main Dishes - Beef and Other MeatsSpicy Wine Pot Roast
4 lbs. beef roast, boneless
1 small onion, chopped
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup dry red wine
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Mix all ingredients in a Dutch oven and cook in slow oven (250 to 275 degrees) 6 hours. May also be cooked in a crock pot on low all day.
Hi Liz,
I know this isn't the exact recipe you're looking for, but if you use beef cubed for stew instead of the pot roast and adjust the cooking time if needed, it may come close.
Happy Cooking!
