TERIYAKI ROUND ROAST
"Extra tender and flavorful!"
1 (3 pound) boneless chuck roast
1 1/4 teaspoons Durkee Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer
1/2 cup pineapple juice OR orange juice
2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoon white wine Worcestershire sauce
Pierce beef with meat fork. Sprinkle both sides of roast with meat tenderizer. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce and white wine Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl. Pour over roast. Cover and marinate a minimum of 4 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.
WHEN READY TO COOK:
Preheat broiler. Remove meat from marinade and discard marinade.
Broil 10 minutes on each side.
Set oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours, turning once, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F for medium.
Makes 10 to 12 servings
