Tried this today with strawberries from the garden. It is superb. I didn't have cornstarch so I used twice as much flour. I accidently put the almond and vanilla extract in the glaze so I then put them in the filling and it was still superb--probably just a little more almondy tasting then it should have been but we love the almond flavor.
