Recipe: Stuffed Pizza Bread (Wilton Fanci-Fill cake pan recipe)

STUFFED PIZZA BREAD

TOOLS:
Fanci-Fill Cake Pan Set*
Cooling Grid
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
1 teaspoon pizza or Italian seasoning, divided use
6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
4 ounces pepperoni, sliced
2 cups pizza sauce, heated
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray one Fanci-Fill pan with vegetable pan spray.

On lightly floured surface, roll out 2/3 of dough into a circle 2 inches wider than diameter of pan; press onto bottom and halfway up the sides of prepared pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon seasoning. Layer cheese and pepperoni alternately over dough.

On lightly floured surface, roll out remaining dough into a circle the diameter of pan; place over fillings and seal edges by pinching together.

Cover pan with a damp cloth or plastic wrap; let stand 20-25 minutes or until slightly puffed.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until top is golden. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes, remove from pan onto serving plate.

TO SERVE:
Place warmed sauce in cavity of pizza bread; top with remaining 1/2 teaspoon seasoning, Parmesan cheese; slice into wedges. Serve immediately.

*Fanci-Fill cake pans have an indentation for the filling in the center of the cake.

Bread serves 6-8
