Recipe: Super Quick Sticky Rolls (using refrigerated breadstick dough, 1980's)

"This recipe is exciting! A gooey, rich caramel roll in less than 30 minutes from start to finish using Pillsbury Refrigerated Soft Breadsticks."
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (11 oz.) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Soft Breadsticks dough
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine margarine, brown sugar and corn syrup; blend well.
Spread evenly in bottom of an ungreased 8 or 9-inch round pan. Sprinkle with pecans.
Remove dough from can. Separate into 8 coils; D0 NOT UNROLL BREADSTICKS.
ln shallow dish, combine sugar and cinnamon; dip one cut side of each coil in sugar-
cinnamon mixture. Arrange coils sugared side down over pecans in pan. Sprinkle with any remaining sugar mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 19 to 24 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 1 minute; invert onto serving plate. Serve warm.
Makes 8 rolls
