In an large mixing bowl combine:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract

Beat at a medium spped and scrap the bowl often.
Beat until mixture ids light and fluffy.

Add:
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
(Make sure to add in small portions. You made need a little more or less depnding on your dough.)

You can color the dough to any color with a number of food colorings.

If dough is too soft be sure to refrigerate the dough for 30-45 minutes until it firms up. If dough is left in the refrigerator too long you may need to let it warm up to room temperature.

When dough is ready to be used, insert dough into the cookie press tube, select cookie shape and attach cookie shape and ring on the end of the tube. You should be ready to go. Press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake the cookie for 6-9 minutes at 400F. Still need help, feel free to let me know.
