Recipe: Surprise Cake, Jell-o Delight, Broken Glass Pie, Honey Graham Torte

Desserts - Puddings, Gelatin
Surprise Cake

2 boxes Jell-O (example: cherry and lime)
2 (16 oz.) cans applesauce
1 box graham crackers
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip

Prepare Jell-O separately as directed on box. Stir 1 can applesauce into each bowl of Jell-O. Make a layer of whole graham crackers on bottom of any size container. Cover with layer of jello mixture. Using alternate colors, layer jello mixture with graham crackers until all is used. Cover with Cool Whip. (Use colors of Jell-O to fit the occasion.)

Jell-o Delight

1 pkg. lime Jell-O
1 pkg. lemon Jell-O
1 pkg. vanilla pudding
graham crackers
whipped cream or Cool Whip

Use a deep dish. Make lime Jell-O, pour into dish; when cool place a layer of graham crackers on top of it. Make vanilla pudding, pour on top of the graham crackers; when cool put another layer of graham crackers on top of the pudding. When cool; prepare lemon Jell-O, when cool pour on top of the crackers. Put into refrigerator until firm. Before serving cover with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Enjoy!

Broken Glass Pie

large container Cool Whip
20 oz. can crushed pineapple (drain juice)
3 small boxes jello (red, yellow, green)
1 box graham crackers
1/2 c. nuts

Prepare jello as directed, separate. Let set until firm. Cut jello into cubes. Layer bottom of a 9 x 13-inch cake pan with graham crackers. Mix your jello, crushed pineapple and Cool Whip together (do not use mixer). Spread over graham crackers. Layer graham crackers on top. Let set for 4 to 6 hours.

Honey Graham Torte

1 (3 oz.) pkg. raspberry jello (dry)
1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
graham crackers
whipped topping

Place 1 layer of graham crackers on square cake dish. Mix dry jello with applesauce. Spread thinly over the graham crackers. Repeat layers until applesauce mixture is used. Mix whipped topping (I use Dream Whip but Cool Whip can be substituted) and spread over top and sides. Refrigerate overnight. Serve in slices. Easy and delicious.
