Recipe: Syrup Pie
Misc. Sirup Custard Pie (Syrup Pie)

1 cup corn sirup
1/2 cup sugar
4 Tablespoons butter
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 recipe pie crust
Cook sirup, sugar and butter together until thickened. Beat eggs until light, pour sirup over them, add vanilla and bled. Line a piepan with pastry and pour in filling. Bake iin a hot oven (425-deg. F.) for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to slow (325-deg. F.) and bake 20 minutes longer or until filling is firm. Makes 1 (8-inch) pie. Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecan meats over top before baking if desired.
