Recipe(tried): tips on using the christmas tree pan

Misc.

I have the same christmas tree pan. first spray both halves of the pan with bakers joy and then put the two halves together with the clips. pour the batter (one cake mix is 4 1/2 cups) into the pan spray the cone and insert into center secure with clips so it wont rise as the cake bakes. when the two halves of the pan are together it make a foot which will support the pan. make sure the seams fit together well or cake batter will leak out. I usually put a sheet of aluminum foil under the foot to catch any spills. I sometimes wrap the cone tightly with aluminum foil and then when the cake is done I leave the aluminum foil core in the center to help support the cake.
