Recipe: Toasted Sesame Crisps (using biscuit mix, make ahead) (1984)

Misc.
TOASTED SESAME CRISPS

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup milk
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
1/4 cup toasted sesame seed
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon water

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Mix baking mix, milk, margarine and 3 tablespoons of the sesame seed until dough forms and rounds up into a ball. If dough is too sticky, gradually mix in enough baking mix (up to 1/4 cup) to make dough easy to handle.

Turn onto cloth- covered surface well dusted with baking mix. Gently roll in baking mix to coat. Divide dough into 12 equal parts. Roll each part into 5-to 6-inch circle. Place circles on ungreased cookie sheet.

Mix egg yolk and water; brush over circles. Sprinkle about 1/4 teaspoon sesame seed on each circle.

Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes; cool.

Cover tightly and store at room temperature.

Makes 12 crisps
