Recipe: Tosca Cake German Dessert

Misc.
I found some Tosca cakes, but they are a Swedish variety and they are not dipped in chocolate.
TOSCA CAKE
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cream
1/2 c. butter or margarine,
melted
Almond Sugar Topping:
1/3 c. almonds, sliced
1/4 c. butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cream
1 Tbsp. flour
Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together until light and
fluffy. Stir flour with baking powder and salt. Stir in flour
mixture alternately with cream. Stir until well blended. Add
melted butter, blend until smooth. Butter a 9-inch pie plate
and sprinkle with fine dry bread crumbs (about 1 tablespoon).
Spoon batter into pan. Bake in 325 degrees oven for 30 minutes or
until middle of cake is firm. Remove from oven and spread with
Almond Sugar Topping. Turn up heat to 375 degrees and return cake to
oven, bake 5 to 10 minutes longer with a cookie sheet under the
pan to prevent bottom of cake from overbaking. Bake until
topping is brown and bubbly. Serve warm. Cut in wedges.
Serves 6 to 8.
Topping: Combine almonds with remaining ingredients in
saucepan. Heat, stirring until mixture begins to bubble.
Remove from heat, stir briskly a few times.

1/2 stick butter

2 Tbsp. table cream
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat eggs and sugar until the
mixture is light and foamy. Sift flour with baking powder and
salt and add to egg mixture. Add vanilla extract. Melt butter
over low heat and let cool. Add cream and melted butter to
batter. Butter and flour (or bread) a round cake form of
frying pan with high boards. Pour batter into pan and bake
until almost done, about 25 minutes.
Combine all ingredients for frosting in a small pan,
stirring constantly. Heat until butter is melted and surface
