Recipe: Vegetable Soup with Kielbasa (Woman's Day, 1980's)

VEGETABLE SOUP WITH KIELBASA

"A quick-to-fix main-dish soup with frozen vegetables."



1 tablespoon margarine
1 cup thinly sliced onion
8 ounces kielbasa (Polish sausage), sliced
4 cups chicken broth
1 (16 ounce) package Japanese frozen mixed vegetables*
1/2 cup pastlna (tiny star-shaped macaroni)
Pepper to taste

Melt margarine in large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook 5 minutes until tender.

Add kielbasa and broth; bring to boil over high heat Add vegetables, pastina and pepper; return to boil: reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

*Another different frozen mixed vegetable combination may be used.

Makes 4 servings
