Please help. I make a venison chili that is simple but excellent. The secret is...French's chili-o mix. I am sorry but all the other mixes cannot compare. French's has that "ZING", kinda like their "Redhot" sause. My problem. I cannot find French's chili-o mix at any supermarkets here in upstate NY. Years ago it was common here and the last time I found it it was at a Walmart supercenter.I bought 10 of them. Now the Walmart does not stock them. Does anyone know who their parent company is and if they have a web address? I gotta have some Chili-o!!!
PS: My recipe:
1 lb ground venison
2 cans kidney beans(1 light,1 dark)(undrained)
1 14 oz can stewed tomatoes (undrained)
French's Chili-o mix
6-7 squirts of French's Redhot sause
That's it. Serve over a bed of white rice, sprinkle on some grated chedder and have some fresh rye with it. Sometimes I add a can of drained corn to the chili to add color.
