Nichole, your answer is easier than you believe!! Unless you are wanting to buy cocoa and produce your "own" sweet/semi-sweet chocolate the answer is in your own query. You "buy" semi-sweet and sweet chocolate from the suppliers. It will come in block form for your convience. There are a few lines of chocolatiers for you to choose. You can choose all-american Nestle's or go expensive/gourmet Godiva.
If it's the "chip" you're wanting....unless you have a gazoos of money to purchase a chip making machine, most homemakers would just melt the chocolate and then painstakingly -one by one- plop a tid-bit of chocolate onto wax paper allowing to dry. At that point one would store in an air tight container till needed. You go Girl!
