Recipe(tried): White Cake with Maraschino Cherries (using cake mix)

Desserts - Cakes
When we were all little, my mother used to make a white cake, using a box mix (yes, they had them even back then) but she would substitute some of the liquid with the juice from maraschino cherries. When making the frosting (from scratch) she'd chop up the cherries and add some more of the liquid.

I just remember it being pretty and pinkish, and tasted really good (if you like maraschino cherries, which I do) Just made it as a sheet cake 9x13 size.
