Recipe(tried): Wild Rice and Sausage

WILD RICE AND SAUSAGE

I have used both regular pork sausage and hot pork sausage and they turn out with raves from guests. I hope you enjoy.

1 cup wild rice, uncooked
1 lb sausage
6 cups chicken broth
4 cups boiling water
1/4 cup butter
1 or 2 cans mushrooms

Boil rice for 10 minutes, then drain and rinse.

Saute sausage; remove from fry pan and set aside.

Place rice, chicken broth, boiling water and butter in pan and simmer for 1 hour.

Add sausage and mushrooms. Reheat and serve.
