ISO: Angel Biscuits no sugar

Anyone have a recipe for angel biscuits that does not include sugar. I had a recipe from the early 70's that was in a magazine like Red Book, or Woman's day. I've lost the one I had. Used lard, selfrising flour, buttermilk and of course yeast - but I can't remember the portions of each to use - put in oiled pan and refridg overnite - the recipe I had was for about 60 biscuits and I used it in my restaurant with raves -

Yes, I know someone already told me you must use sugar with yeast but it was not in the recipe and I never used it and they turned out absolutely great.

Some of you old time cooks, please help me out. I kept the recipe for 7 years before I even used it in my restaurant when I ran across it one day in my keep this forever file you may need it someday and I did ! ! Now I've lost it and am retired.
