ISO: canning with glass lids

Hello y'all,
Does anyone use Weck canning jars? They are from Germany and use rubber rings. Glashaus, here in the U.S. is their distributer. I have not found any positive input regarding the rubber ring use. Also, does anyone use a Vitamix for puree tomatoes (peel and all) and the like?
