ISO: cooking with whole foods

Misc.
Hi guys!
I am looking for advice and recipes that would help me cook healthier. I want to be one of those cooks (you know who you are) that can get a bunch of veggies, herbs, and meat and actually make something without all of the processed helpers. My kids are young and cancer runs in my husband's family, so I want to give them all the advantages I can now.

I've seen some of the recipes and ideas posted here - so I know I'm asking these questions to the right group of people! Thanks so much for your help!
