ISO: cottage cheese substitutes

Hi, I live in Dalian China and would like to make some lasagna. While they have cottage cheese in Beijing, they have none here. What can I substitute for the cottage cheese? Have found edam cheese, cream cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan. There is also low=fat milk, low-fat Mainland Cheese *from New Zealand...not sure
about sour cream or heavy cream.
