ISO: date nut refrigerator cookies

I am in search of a recipe which contains chopped dates and nut meats in the cooky dough and is then refrigerated in rolls/logs and sliced for baking. I am not in need of a recipe for date pinwheel/ring cookies. My mother had a recipe for the one I seek, but I have misplaced her cookbook. Thank you very much.
