ISO: Fool Proof Prime Rib

I tried this and think it came our fairly well. However, I have 2 questions. After the first hour of cooking, how long do you let it rest in the oven? Also, after the resting period do you remove it from the oven and preheat to the lower temperature before the second roasting period? Thanks.
