ISO: fresh Jalapeno pepper sauce

An old friend made a thick & chuncky pepper sauce with jalapenos, it was great for seasoning and dips, he's passed away and noone seems to know, i do remember it had color as though some tomoto product was used. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECEATED I HAVE PEPPERS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!
