ISO: Fried apple turnovers, using dried apples

Misc.
When I was growing up my mom used to make apple turnovers (tarts). She used dried apples and cooked them in an iron frying pan on top ot the stove.

I may be so old that no one has ever heard of these. If someone has a recipe I would sure appreciate it they would post it
