ISO: grease and flour bundt pan

Misc.
Hello, I searched for a baking message board to post a question, and was grateful to find this one. You all are probably going to think my question is silly, or the answer is obvious, but I am in sincere need of help here. I'm am a youngster, newly married, and trying to learn to cook and bake. I was never taught, so I am picking up what I can by myself here and there. A friend of mine made a cookbook for me for my bridal shower of her favorite recipes, some her own, others from books or friends, and some restaurant copycats she concocted herself. I have decided to try my hand at one of her recipes that she created as a copy of a local restaurant favorite: Jack Daniels Cake. This may prove to be more difficult than I had imagined because so far I have not gotten past the first line of the recipe. "Preheat oven to 350, grease and flour 12" bundt pan." Hmm. After doing a search on Yahoo, I am now enlightened with the knowledge of what a bundt pan is, and that I need to get one. Now, this is my question: What does it mean to grease and flour the bundt pan? Now, I know how to grease something, you just spray it with Pam right? Or should I hand grease it with shortening or vegetable oil? The flour part is what is really perplexing me. What does this mean? Do I sprinkle flour in there? Do I coat the greased pan with flour by putting a bunch in, shaking it around and dumping out the excess? Again, this may sound simple to those of you seasoned bakers, but I would appreciate any help. Thank you! Kat
