ISO: Hamburgers in Sauce

I am searching for a recipe that is used frequently here in PA for a simple dish of hamburger patties that are cooked and served in a tomato based type of sauce. I don't know if it is a PA dutch recipe but it is quite common here. The patties are precooked and then then placed in the sauce to cook and "marinate" for some hours before serving. I am looking for a recipe for the sauce they stew in. Thanks!
