ISO: homemade mac. and cheese with italian tomatoes with it.

a friend at work was telling me she used to make homemade macaroni and cheese with sharp & xtra sharp cheese but then she used some kind of italian tomatoes in,and she can't remember what kind they were. She said this was a wonderful dish to make and she loved it. She also she wishes she could get ahold of another recipe and I told her I could see what I could do to help her. If anyone ever heard about this and can help me please. Thank you. I have tried everywhere I could thing of on looking and I found nothing.Thank you for your time and help.
