ISO: how to keep seeds or other toppings on top of bread

Misc.
Hi!

I like to top my loaves with seeds, rolled oats, etc.

I have been brushing the tops of the loaves with melted butter and then sprinkling with the topping just before baking.

But as soon as the loaves are cool and moved, the toppings fall right off!

Is there a better glaze than melted butter that will help them stick longer? I don't want a crispy top or to change the color of the bread. I just want my seeds to stay on top of the loaf.

Thanks!
rebecca
