ISO: Italian wands/ Quanti

My Nana Sue maked these great deep-fried pastry strips called wands. I have found them in only one Italian bakery. They were called Quanti. I would love to find a recipe for them. Nana is 90 years old and doesn't measure anything, so it is hard to figure out the recipe. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
