MAPLE CREAM
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup pecan meats, cut into small-pieces
Blend sugar, syrup, milk, and water; dissolve thoroughly, heat slowly to boiling point, cook slowly to soft ball stage when tested in cold water.
Remove from fire, drop in butter and vanilla, do not stir.
When lukewarm beat until creamy.
Add nuts, spread in buttered pan.
