ISO: Karen,on your cauliflower recipe

Misc.
I have unfamiliar with Indian food.In all of my visits to the UK,I NEVER [shame on me]went to your great Indian cuisine restaurants.I have heard they are the best!I did though buy some garam marsala in a shop and attempted to cook with it but the flavor was too hot for my senses and I thought I liked hot, spicy foods.I would like to try this recipe. Can you tell me what dal is and if there are variations on the quality and hotness of garam marasala and curry paste.
