ISO: Mac and Cheese

Misc.
I am looking for an old Mac and Cheese receipe that called for adding hunks of cheese to the cooked macaroni instead of making a cheese sauce the way they do now. I remember my mother adding the hunks of cheese and then pouring milk, maybe flour and/or an egg over it. Any help would be most appreciated. I think the original receipe was on the Muellers box in the 1940s.

Thank you, Thank you!!!!
