Recipe(tried): Mac and Cheese Variation

Main Dishes - Casseroles
In addition to what Elly in Ohio does (I do the same) except I add some finely chopped onion and salt and peper.
I layer the maccaroni, cheese, onion and salt and pepper. Usually I have 2 layers. Then I pour the milk (with or without) egg over the top. Then I dot with a bit of butter (to brown the top and for flavor).
My kids love it and so do my grandkids. They call it the REAL mac and cheese.
