ISO: Mckenzie's Buttermilk Drops

I used to get these doughnut-like glazed balls from Mckenzie's Bakery in New Orleans, LA. They are darker brown than glazed doughnuts but have a similar glaze. Since Mckenzie's is now close, I would love to be able to make these wonderful treats myself.
