Recipe: Mincemeat Bread (1968)

MINCEMEAT BREAD

2 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk (2/3 cup)
1 cup mincemeat
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

Mix together eggs, brown sugar, evaporated milk, mincemeat and butter. Stir in flour mixture only until blended. Pour into well greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes.

Makes 1 loaf
