ISO: Polenta, how to prepare it.

I have bought some polenta but have no idea how to cook it. I thought
it was like couscous but I find it has a different texture (sort of gluggy
but I'm probably doing something wrong!) Some recipes I've
seen in the TKL Search talk about grilled polenta or placing a disc of polenta on the plate. Can someone enlighten me please.
