ISO: Poor Man Pudding

I am looking for a recipe that my family used man years ago and it was called Poor Man Pudding because it did not use eggs, but was made with dates and nut and was topped with brown sugar and hot water before it was baked. After is was baked it was served upside down with whipped cream. This was very good but have lost the receipe. If anyone has it would be vary greatful for it. Thanks Betty Hines Noakes
