ISO: Pumpkin Spice Cake

I sure hope one of you can help me. My not too friendly mother-in-law told me about a wonderful cake she had just made and though she has shared the recipe with many a friend she will not share it with me. Not only does it sound really good but now I am determined to find this recipe. The cake is made from a spice cake mix a can of pumpkin and I don't know what else. It is then frosted with whipped cream. I don't have much time for experimenting right now so I'm hoping someone out there knows of this recipe. It will really make my day when I see it. Thanks, Anne
