ISO: Questions to Kim,WA re: coffeecake

The coffee cake recipe you posted sounds very good. I guess I'm pretty dense, though, because I didn't understand the directions when it said

* Do this (pour the sour cream mixture) before you start the dough -- I don't get the sequence here.

* And it said at the end "makes 3 cakes" but the directions said to put the dough on a 9x13 pan. Do you put 1/3 of the dough in a 9x13 pan or 1/3 of the dough in a pie plate for a coffeecake?

Could you help, please? Thanks.
