ISO: re: Earl Grey English Liquor

Earl Grey English Liquor was imported into the U.S. by Brown-Forman Beverage Co. (Brown-Forman Corporation, Louisville, Ky.). It was produced under a bottling contract by Earl Grey Spirits Ltd., London, England.

I worked for Brown-Forman Corporation for over 25 years and remember when we stopped the bottling contract and the importing into the U.S. sometime in the late 1980's.

I worked in the financial area and therefore don't have detailed info as to the why it was discontinued. It was a wonderful product and had one of the best looking bottles that I've ever seen. I still have a bottle on my bar that I've just filled with colored water because it is such a great looking bottle! I only wish it still had the Earl Grey Liquor still in the bottle.
